Environment Agency

A government agency (sponsored by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) with responsibility for regulating a wide range of environmental issues in England and Wales, including waste management, water pollution and abstraction, pollution from industrial facilities, contaminated land, radioactive substances and flood defence.
