Court of Appeal judgment on application of transparency requirement when amending public contracts

The Court of Appeal has ruled that a provision of the Unified Contract between the Legal Services Commission (LSC) and solicitors who undertake legal aid work, which gives the LSC extensive unilateral powers of amendment, breaches the general obligation of transparency as well as specific provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
