Competition Commission makes Groceries (Supply Chain Practices) Market Investigation Order 2009 and recommendations to BIS for the creation of an Ombudsman

On 4 August 2009, the Competition Commission published the final Groceries (Supply Chain Practices) Market Investigation Order 2009. It also published a formal recommendation to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to take the legislative steps necessary to establish an Ombudsman to arbitrate disputes under the Groceries Supply Code of Practice and investigate complaints about breaches of the Code.
