Exceptional case funding scheme for section 10 of LASPO is unlawful and does not provide safety net intended (High Court)

The High Court in IS v The Director of Legal Aid Casework & Anor [2015] EWHC 1965 (Admin) found that the scheme in operation by the Legal Aid Agency in respect of applications for exceptional case funding is unlawful because it fails to ensure that an applicant's human rights are not breached, or are not likely to be breached.
