Warrant for residential property under Environment Act 1995 can only be executed on seven days' notice (Court of Appeal)

In Allensway Recycling Ltd and others v Environment Agency the court overturned an earlier decision in this case that an application for a warrant to search a residential premises under Schedule 18 of the Environment Act 1995 sought on the basis that advance notice of admission to the premises would defeat the object of the proposed entry, ruling that 7 days’ notice was required .
