Sweett Group plc sentenced for first conviction under section 7 of the Bribery Act 2010 (Crown Court)

The Sweett Group plc were sentenced at Southwark Crown Court after pleading guilty to failing to prevent an act of bribery, contrary to section 7(1)(b) of the Bribery Act 2010. The Sweett Group were fined £1.4m. In addition, £851,152.23 was paid in confiscation and £95,031 in costs. This is the first conviction under section 7 of the Bribery Act 2010.
