On 30 May 2014, the High Court rejected a judicial review claim that the Housing Benefit (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (SI 2012/3040), which operate to reduce the amount of housing benefit paid where rented accommodation is assessed as being under-occupied, were discriminatory.
