Cookie policy (DPA 1998 and PECR)

by Practical Law Data Protection
A long-form cookie policy providing internet users with the necessary information about an online provider's use of cookies as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) (Amendment) Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) (as amended) (PECR).
Please note: With effect from 25 May 2018 PECR applied with the EU General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) standard of consent. We have created a new resource to reflect the Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (Amendments etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019/419) which amended PECR by formally recognising GDPR standard of consent and came into force on 29 March 2019: see Standard document, Cookie Policy (PECR, GDPR and DPA 2018) (UK).
