Discussions whether to sell school playing field must be disclosed under EIR, not FOIA (FTT(IR))

On 17 October 2013, the First-tier Tribunal (Information Rights) ruled that a request for information on the Department for Education's internal decision-making process when dealing with a council's request to sell school playing fields must be dealt with under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (SI 2004/3391) (EIR), rather than under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
