North East Lincolnshire Council ordered to pay compensation for wrongful removal of baby (LGO)
The Local Government Ombudsman investigated a complaint involving the removal of a baby from a mother's care, and recommended that North East Lincolnshire Council pay the mother and maternal grandmother compensation totalling £7,000. They found that the baby was removed without proper consent and the council had acted arbitrarily.
