Consequences of reducing value of claim to pay lower court fee (High Court)

In Lewis and others v Ward Hadaway (a firm) [2015] EWHC 3503 (Ch), the High Court considered an application to strike out a claim on the basis that the claimant had understated the value of the claim in the claim form in order to reduce the court fee payable on issue. It also considered an alternative application for summary judgment on the basis that the correct court fee was not paid until expiry of the limitation period.
