This standard document can form the basis of a letter from a legal adviser to an employer, outlining the main steps and considerations in investigating possible misconduct or poor performance and, if necessary, carrying out a disciplinary hearing and appeal. The letter takes into account the Acas Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures.
