High Court holds settlement agreement to be binding despite non-disclosure of previous lower offers

In Silver Queen Maritime Ltd v Persia Petroleum Services plc [2010] EWHC 2867 (QB), the court considered the time at which the parties became bound by a settlement deed and whether the settlement agreement could be rescinded on the grounds that the claimant had failed to disclose that, in discussions with a third party, it had previously offered to settle its claim for a lower amount.
