On 9 May 2013, the Care Bill [HL] 2013-14 (the Bill) was introduced in the House of Lords. Part 1 of the Bill provides for the reform of the adult social care system in England and Wales, including capping an individual's contributions to care costs. The Bill had its second reading on 21 May 2013 and is currently at the committee stage in the Lords.
