A note summarising an employee's rights under the Access to Medical Reports Act 1988. It is designed to be sent to an employee under cover of a letter requesting their consent to the employer applying to the employee's GP or consultant for a medical report. It should also be used where the employer's doctor is providing a report on the employee and, as part of the process, wishes to obtain a report from the employee's GP or consultant.
