SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct 2011

The Solicitors Regulation Authority issued a new Handbook in 2011, including a new Code of Conduct, which was prompted by the introduction of Alternative Business Structures (ABSs). The Handbook was introduced on a phased basis from August 2011. The key implementation date was 6 October 2011.
This note explains the background to the Handbook and its structure.
