Council fails to consult properly over closure of day centre (Court of Appeal)

On 4 April 2014, the Court of Appeal held in R (LH) v Shropshire Council [2014] EWCA Civ 404 that the council's failure to specifically consult with the users of an adult day centre before it closed, even though it had consulted generally on its reconfiguration proposals for all the day centres in its area, was unlawful.
