The EC Regulation on insolvency proceedings (Insolvency Regulation 2000)

An overview of Council Regulation (EC) 1346/2000 on insolvency proceedings (Insolvency Regulation 2000).
The Insolvency Regulation 2000 applies (where it applies at all) to insolvency proceedings relating to debtors with their centre of main interests in an EU member state (other than Denmark) where the insolvency proceedings were opened before 26 June 2017. Insolvency proceedings opened on or after 26 June 2017 are subject, where it applies, to the Recast Insolvency Regulation, see Practice note, The Recast Insolvency Regulation.
