Consultation on rentcharge redemption and leasehold valuation
The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has published a technical discussion paper
seeking views on
a replacement rate to be used in the calculation formula for rentcharge redemptions and the valuation of
certain leasehold interests on enfranchisement or renewal. It also seeks views on the future role of the Secretary of State in redeeming rentcharges.
