ICO decision notice: commercial interests exemption in FOIA not engaged where information is of significant age

On 25 November 2015, the Information Commissioner's Office published a decision notice finding that the commercial interests exemption in section 43(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 was not engaged where the information is of significant age.
Note: the First-tier Tribunal (Information Rights) also held in a similar case in April 2016 that the section 43(2) exemption was not engaged: see Eustace v Information Commissioner (EA/2016/0008) (12 April 2016).
