In Isle of Wight Council v Platt [2016] the High Court ruled that the decision of a magistrates' court that there was no case to answer for a father for taking his child out of school for seven days was correct. (Isle of Wight Council v Platt [2016] EWHC 1283 (Admin) (13 May 2016.)
