The European Commission has postponed until the end of 2005 the scheduled review of its Recommendation of February 2003 on relevant product and service markets in the electronic communications sector. The Recommendation comprises a list of 18 retail and wholesale electronic communications markets designated to be subject to so-called “ex ante” regulation by national regulatory authorities. In the Commission’s view, changes to the definition of any of the markets included in the Recommendation are currently not justified.
