Early leaver

In the context of pensions, a member of an occupational pension scheme whose employment with a participating employer (www.practicallaw.com/6-206-1084) ends (or who opts out of membership) before reaching normal pension age (www.practicallaw.com/0-376-5467). An early leaver with at least two years' qualifying pensionable service is known as a deferred member (www.practicallaw.com/2-107-6069).
