ECJ finds that Netherlands has breached procurement rules in specifying use of eco-labels and fair trade labels

On 10 May 2012, the ECJ ruled that the Netherlands breached its obligations under Directive 2004/18 (the Public Contracts Directive) by specifying the use of specific eco-labels or fair trade labels in the context of a tender of a public contract for the supply and management of coffee machines.
