Government considering amending freedom of information regime, including reducing cost burden

The government is considering making changes to the freedom of information regime, the Justice Minister stated on 24 January 2013 in a House of Commons debate on the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Among the proposed changes are steps to block repeated requests and to clarify the use of the ministerial veto.
