Application notice

Formerly known as a summons. A document in which the applicant states his intention to seek a court order (see Civil Procedure Rule (CPR) 23.1). The general rule is that an application notice must be filed at court and a copy served on each respondent in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules ( www.practicallaw.com/A34661) (see CPR 23.3 and 23.4).
