In HM Attorney General v Edwards [2015] EWHC 1653 (Admin), the court considered the scope of the jurisdiction, under section 42(3) of the Senior Courts Act 1981, for the High Court to grant leave for a party subject to a civil restraint order to institute, continue or make an application in, any civil proceedings.
