Patient treated in intensive care unit was not deprived of liberty (High Court)

In LF v HM Senior Coroner for Inner South London and another [2015] EWHC 2990, the High Court held that a patient who died whilst being treated in an intensive care unit in hospital had not been deprived of her liberty and therefore was not in state detention when she died. Consequently there was no duty to summon a jury for the inquest.
