Employment tribunal

A tribunal established by statute to hear and rule on certain disputes, including those arising out of employment. They generally consist of a legally qualified chairperson and two lay members with appropriate experience. They were formerly known as industrial tribunals (www.practicallaw.com/4-200-2986).
