Training and competence: employee qualifications
When assessing employee competence to carry on certain specified retail activities, firms must ensure that their employees have met the minimum levels of qualification. This note outlines the role of employee qualifications in the FCA's training and competence regime, as specified in the Training and Competence sourcebook (TC). It identifies which regulated activities have related qualification requirements, providing details of those requirements, including time limits for obtaining them. It also considers the supervision of employees not yet assessed as competent.
