Notice to quit: residential dwelling

This is an example of a notice to quit in relation to a periodic tenancy of a residential dwelling. It can be used by either a landlord or a tenant wishing to bring a tenancy to an end. This notice should be served in duplicate and the tenant or landlord asked to sign and return the duplicate as acknowledgment of receipt if at all possible.
