Planning (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2015 implement Seveso III and government publishes response to consultation

The Planning (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/627) were made on 18 March 2015 and come into force on 1 June 2015. The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) published the government response to its consultation on implementing the land use planning requirements of the Seveso III Directive 2012, on 13 March 2015 (Directive 2012/18/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances, amending and subsequently repealing Council Directive 96/82/EC).
