In Re D (A child: deprivation of liberty) [2015] EWHC 922 (Fam), the High Court considered whether the parents of a 15 year-old (not in local authority care) could use their parental responsibility to authorise the child's deprivation of liberty within a hospital setting under the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court.
