Updated Court of Protection practice directions to ensure P's participation
On 1 July 2015, the updated practice directions to the Court of Protection Rules will become effective. The amendments are in response to Munby P's two judgments in Re X and others (Deprivation of Liberty) and address the issue of ensuring P's participation in appropriate cases and setting out the procedure for a deprivation of liberty authorisation.
