Kent not deemed designated authority despite heavy involvement with family (Court of Appeal)
In Re W (A Child) (Designation of Local Authority) [2016] EWCA Civ 366, Medway Council was deemed the designated authority for care proceedings. Kent County Council issued the care proceedings, had been involved with the mother pre-birth and had a working together agreement in respect of her move to Medway.
