Hauser Partners was established in 1987 and is an independent, owner-managed law firm. The firm’s main areas of practice are international commercial arbitration, cross-border M&A, capital markets and banking and finance. Senior partner Wulf Gordian Hauser has served as sole arbitrator, chairman of the arbitral tribunal, party appointed arbitrator or counsel for a party in numerous arbitrations before the International Court of Arbitration of the ICC, the International Arbitral Centre of the Federal Economic Chamber, Vienna (VIAC), in ad hoc arbitrations under the UNCITRAL rules and under the arbitration rules of the Austrian Code of Civil Procedure.
Recent cases handled by the firm include:
- Representation of a claimant before Austrian courts against an arbitral award under Czech law concerning a dispute due to a share purchase agreement in the automotive industry.
- Representation of a party in an arbitration before the VIAC under German law concerning charter agreements in connection with a cruise ship.
- Representation of a South-Eastern European party in a major energy contract dispute before the VIAC.
