Alison Dennis

Alison Dennis is a partner, board member and head of life sciences and healthcare at the European law firm, Fieldfisher. Alison is a qualified attorney (solicitor) in England and Wales. Her practice includes negotiating complex licensing deals, advice on the detailed regulations of the EU and the UK as they apply to medical devices and to pharmaceutical and biotechnology products, and on the form and content of compliance programmes to meet the requirements of anti-bribery and transparency provisions. Alison lectures on the University of Cambridge MBE programme.

She speaks English and French. Her professional associations and memberships include the Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI), at which she chairs the legal and compliance committee, the BioIndustry Association (BIA) and OBN.

Markus Schott

Markus Schott has broad experience in all kinds of regulatory and public law matters including governmental supervision, administrative sanctions, and public procurement. He advises and represents clients in the banking, finance and insurance, life sciences and food, as well as transportation and infrastructure sectors. He also drafts expert opinions in these fields.

He also specialised in representing clients in administrative and civil litigation proceedings as well as in international administrative and judicial assistance matters.

He is a senior lecturer of law at the University of Zurich and he publishes regularly in his fields of interest.

Eric Stupp

Eric Stupp heads the Bär & Karrer's financial services team. His practice focuses on advising banks, insurance companies, asset managers and other financial intermediaries on regulatory matters, enforcement proceedings and on M&A transactions.

He regularly advises financial institutions and regulatory bodies in connection with internal investigations on cross-border issues. In particular, he has assisted clients in numerous proceedings initiated by the US Department of Justice, the New York Department of Financial Services and other US or European authorities.

He is a regular speaker at expert conferences addressing these matters. He was a member of Bär & Karrer's management committee for eight years. He is the vice-chairman of the board of directors of Goldman Sachs Bank AG, Zurich and a member of the boards of other financial and non-profit institutions.
