Article 29 Working Party consults on GDPR priorities

The Article 29 Working Party has been discussing the priorities for the General Data Protection Regulation and is seeking input from interested stakeholders, particularly industry bodies.
The Article 29 Working Party (WP29) has been discussing the priorities for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is seeking input from interested stakeholders, particularly industry bodies.
So far, the WP29 has been discussing the new data portability right, data protection impact assessments, the use of certification and codes of conduct and role of the data protection officer. The meeting is the first step towards the WP29 becoming the European Data Protection Board by May 2018 and another meeting is planned for early 2017. Stakeholders who would like to air their views on any of the aforementioned topics can do so by emailing [email protected].
