Second edition of Construction and Engineering Pre-Action Protocol approved

The Master of the Rolls' office has confirmed that the second edition of the Pre-Action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes has been approved.
As we have previously reported, there was a delay to the approval of the second edition of the Pre-Action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes, which was expected to come into force on 9 November 2016 (see Legal update, Second edition of Construction and Engineering Pre-Action Protocol still not approved).
The Master of the Rolls' office has confirmed that the necessary approval has now been given. We anticipate the Ministry of Justice website will be updated shortly to include a copy of the second edition of the Protocol. In the meantime, practitioners can obtain a copy from the Technology and Construction Solicitors Association (TeCSA) website (see Pre-Action Protocol for Construction and Engineering Disputes, second edition, November 2016).
